That kind of thing usually works well with PBS, get somebody to look at your bid.
Unless you're also shooting for high-credit, weekday only, HI or PVR layovers. February was not a good test case for May, because the commutable times are drastically different. |

From my memories of helping friends pump and dump, yes. That was from the bad old days of poor FO staffing due to attrition. It's our first run with PBS and a company set low(ish) ALV, so no one knows. However, as Shy pointed out. There are a lot less reserves than in previous bidding periods. From my hazy view that doesn't look good but I'm always hopeful I'm incorrect.
Well, lineholders get first dibs for 48 hrs before reserves can move days or trade. And in the new PBS rules, even if a day (for example) 20 min required, up to 20% can still be dropped that day. So they could drop 4 trips in that day, and show a 20 required, 16 available. Lineholders benefit because they get rid of trips. Reserves screwed because the trading window will open with the day already red - can’t move. I asked about this with PBS DART, and they admit that yes, reserve flexibility will go down compared to before - in this particular regard. But LC pilot to pilot trading doesn’t depend on ARC. Provided you can find someone that wants your day. I bid reserve on purpose in May - let’s see how it goes. At least I was senior-ish to get the weekends mostly off. |
