Same here, went to 3 events this year so far as well and heard the same thing, "keep on doing what you're doing."

I don't think it's that they don't like you so much that it is they just aren't hiring in mass numbers. Just be patient and persistent, something good will happen (or at least that's what I keep telling myself :))

How often are y'all updating your SR profile? By update, I mean reentering the entire thing...

I "update" mine about every month, along with my airlineapps account.

You have to get your name drawn in the HR interview candidate selection raffle.

I remember being really energized after WAI in 2014 because I had internal recommendations and a personal introduction to one of the base chief pilots and I received really positive feedback from the experience, something along the lines of, "I don't see why you won't be here soon," or words to that effect. And then...silence.

As I see it, it's your lucky day if you get called. Until then, don't get excited. I would guess that there are 20 people applying for every open slot this year. Even if 10 of those get "invited" to apply at Horizon, that still leaves you and me as one in 10, and those are not great odds.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I click the link to Access my Application via the email from Smart Recruiters, there's not even a place to view or edit any of my information. All it shows is that they received my application, that I attended the NW Aviation Conference, and that somebody viewed my application (3 months ago...). Up top it doesn't even say In Review, it says New.
Am I taking crazy pills?

Nope, not crazy. You can't edit your profile, just do it all again, which effectively updates it. It will show stacked up above your previous submissions - provided you use the same email.

Alaska knows about this issue and admits they rolled out Smart Recruiters before they had a good handle on it. That said, everybody I talked to at the fairs said they are working on a fix. Been hearing that since January though, so....

Has anyone had luck with the SmartRecruiters system? With my latest update I included a cover letter and rec letters in with the resume upload. Has anyone tried that? I see that as the only way to submit recommendations to the company.

In the initiall SR rollout, it either wasn't possible, or we were instructed not to include recommendation letters. They said just bring 'em to the interview.

Yeah the interview! All 16 they have had since last summer.

Another example of pilot hiring hijacked by HR know-nothings trying to re-invent the wheel.

Here's a novel suggestion for all the airlines: Have a couple assistant CP's spend a couple hours a day sifting through the new resumes & make a stack of the most qualified candidates. Interview those people. Repeat as needed.

Got a phone interview with questions about my flight time, and what I thought about working in SEA, LAX, or ANC. if I have a first class medical, and mostly questions about my logbook, type ratings etc. not about previous jobs... The only feedback was "keep looking in the talent community / smart recruiting for jobs with us... and thanks for being part of the talent community...".
Any idea if that is good feedback? or does that mean "thanks but no thanks for now..."? Thanks!
