Any word when the next window for applying is?

Probably late this year, but who knows.

They just had a window. Plus ngpa, wia, and waa I think they are set on applicants for awhile.

Hello everyone, I have been lurking here for a while and the information you guys have on building a career is phenomenal. Personally I plan on going the airforce route. What do you guys think? Also thought you guys might enjoy some old alaska airlines posters I saw

Guys come from all backgrounds but for sure the AF is a great route!! Good luck with that!

In your opinion, is the job fair worth attending if I missed the window?

Probably not, since you don't have an app on file. But the experience might be worth it.

It is! It is! Every contact you have with Alaska is recorded. Even if you don't have a resume on file, the contact will be recorded. If it's convenient for you to go, definitely do it.

If Alaska is where you want to work it definitely helps. I was helping at WAI and we were able to get people who had not applied into the system. Every event you go to is added to your file and it all helps.

As someone who's never been to one of these job fairs, any good advice on what to expect? Particularly from anyone who's been the Northwest Aviation Conference before?

Do not expect much and do not get discouraged. Just roll with it. Being there and putting your best foot forward is what is important. Think of it as interview practice. If you feel it did not go well don't worry, just nod your head, smile and keep at it.
