Hitting the secret sauce a little hard tonight are we? Roll the trucks, this guy needs immediate medical attention!

I'll ad in a personal observation here. VX had "step pay" not longevity pay. It is a little known fact that those of us in the first pilot class started as "step 4" pilots, $110/hr as we were type rated prior to coming to VX. The irony is we reached 12 years service the day before the JCBA went into effect, staying at 12 year pay.

And while the "go back to year one pay for upgrade" was originally in the business plan, there was enough push back from the line pilots that it and a rather unique scheduling scheme (the buckets) never were implemented.

So OTZ, your assertion is false, but it was in the was in the original plan.

So you were “for the war before you were against it.” All you guys do is prove me right and then argue semantics. Facts are... you went to the lowest paying job in the industry, a company that pushed the industry norms and our careers lower. My only point is you guys need to get off your high horse and quit dogging L-AS. None of you have done **** for our industry!

Good news, the house sold in 3 days 45k above asking. I will check and get back to you guys but I am pretty sure it was a “Skywest Captain”, I guess he used his incredible schedule to finance the place.

Or.... maybe he’s married to a Delta Captain and they use his salary just to pay the tax burden of living in the used needle republic of Seattle.

VX started up in 2007 when pilot pay rates were already low post 911, like I mentioned a few posts above...

During the subsequent years, while we were still in operation, all the major pilots' unions went on to gain significant wins in their negotiated contracts as the economy improved and the airlines made record profits. Clearly those facts undermine your assertions about VX's impact on the industry.

To borrow a phrase... "It's the economy stupid"......

Are you guys really complaining about prices and taxes in SEA? Try living in SF or LA. Worse housing/goods pricing then SEA, plus over 20k state income taxes. Washington = 0.

Still trolling I see... Why does it always end up with how much money or material property you have? No one cares.

Sad to see, I haven't lived in Seattle for a few years, but I don't recall it nearly this rampant:

And you know it's bad when Seattle's own press can't believe how bad it's become.

When you're on CA pay making 260k+ with no state income tax, that goes a long way in Washington. As opposed to living in CA and paying one of the highest state income taxes in the country. Sorry, I still think Washingtonians (is that a word?) have it better than Californians. :D Except the weather...
