Former Alaska guy, currently at Delta… The process is identical. Don’t hate, brotha!Originally Posted by LopezD

We’ve had many a Hawaiian guy on the HNL-SLC flight. They’ve had zero issues with the commute…I’d venture to say that more of you JS on us than we JS on you. All the best, dude.
Good day everyone and happy holidays! I was wondering what the likelihood of getting SEA as base and/or a widebody as a new hire? Also, if one is interested in the cargo side of Alaska, does one still apply through their main website? Thanks!

Need to commit to either alaska side if you’d rather have SEA base or hawaiian if you want WB no guarantees either way. If by cargo you mean Amazon 330 then you have to be hired onto the hawaiian side. Best chance of getting widebody would be to get on before SLI. After they merge the lists there probably won’t be any junior people getting WB. Originally Posted by egothrasher

Yes that's probably true. If you're all about WB, get on with the HA side asap and try hard to get a plane and base that works for you. After SLI any WB vacancies will go senior for a while. Clock is ticking on SLI, two-ish years, maybe a hair sooner.Originally Posted by MrBogardi

SEA: Lots of local AS folks interested in 787.
Cargo: Lots of former VX commuters in the east.
HNL: Many HA folks live there, and have the seniority.
