Just had a couple weeks off and was wondering why all these 20 something Virgin pilots were laughing and generally in a good mood while I was in SFO airport. Now I get it. They won the jackpot. Almost as good as all those young guys that got on at US before the American merger. Now the average new hire age is about 50. Lucky buggers.

I couldn't disagree with you more! Most of my friends at VX are terrified of a merger with AS. They like VX and the culture that has been established there. They also know that because of their junior longevity that they could really take a haircut with regards to the impending ISL.
