Default Allegiant culture

There’s a ton of Allegiant content here so I hope I’m not retreading the tires but here it goes:
1- How is the Allegiant culture? Do crews seem happy at their jobs? Would you say morale is high or at least not low?
2- If you could go back in time and give your pre-Allegiant self some advice about the company, what would it be?
3- (To those who have recently interviewed) How was the interview process? Any tips?

I’ve been a fractional guy for a couple of years but this place is a burro kicker and I’ve always had an eye on Allegiant.
Allegiant being non-commutable worries me as I’m home based now and the thought of commuting again stinks. I’m an older guy, mid 40s, don’t really care about the upgrade and money isn’t a huge influencer, I just want to be happy in my job and be with my family every now and then. Trying to see if the juice is worth the squeeze.
I’m interested to know what you all think.
Thank in advance.

Absolutely don't come to allegiant if you plan on commuting for any significant amount of time.

Just my 2 cents. I came here from a fractional and wouldn’t change a thing. The pace at the fractionals when I left was very busy. The money was good, the perks were nice, but I didn’t want to continue into my sixties cleaning cabins, lifting passengers bags, and stocking galleys. I’m home every night now, making more, and doing way less at work. It works for me. If you have your heart set on not moving into base, this is not the place for you. If you live in one of our bases and plan on holding out for it, plan for some pain and sacrifice. This is not a commuters airline. While we do have those that commute, they are paying a price for it.

The culture of this company is driven by the bottom line. It can be frustrating when you come from another organization that was less focused on financial performance. It’s getting better year over year in general. However, our contract is constantly being challenged. It’s not what Southwest used to be, but it’s not Us airways either. If you don’t interact with scheduling much you’ll probably like the culture. I fly my trips, don’t call in sick much and like the people I fly with, so for me it’s a pleasure to come to work. Clear as mud? Hope that helps.

I came from a fractional. I don’t commute, so this is far better. The schedule is 1,000 times easier. I do miss the week off twice a month. Other than that, there is nothing about Allegiant that isn’t better. However, if I had to commute to a small Allegiant Base, I would have stayed at the fractional that I was at.

Thank you all for the advice. If my crystal ball wasn’t broken I’d know what bases new hires are going to and how long it would take to hold a west coast base.
Thanks again.

Although things change at the drop off a hat around here, I don’t see much west coast growth on the horizon.

Is Allegiant’s schedue more like something you see from Ameriflight, where you fly A->B->A in one day 5 out of 7 days a week?

How many hours a day are you guys typically flying?

I’m based in Vegas already so Allegiant has been a choice I’d consider, but my TT isn’t where it needs to be yet. Sounds like I’d not have a great chance at holding LAS anyway from what you guys are saying.

Plan to work 3-5 days per week. Out and back flights. LAS-XXX-LAS. It's about as close to a 8-5 style job you can get in the airlines. Vegas typically goes pretty junior on the FO side and more senior on the CA side.
