it’s my understanding that many new hires have little to no 121 experience.
Allegiant is like a regional from 15 years ago before there was a shortage.
the thing is there’s no shortage of people that want to fly an Airbus.
new hires to the industry don’t know what they’re worth. It’s like how military guys don’t know what scope is.
when people get fed up they leave with a type rating and get replaced by a cfi and the circle continues.
in my view things will get better when people realize they can’t go anywhere else, or when they can’t hire enough. Neither problem is a problem right now.

That’s why I said in an earlier post that we’re paid like third tier regionals. Even half decent ones make more than we do these days. It’s wild that they get people to show up for classes.
