NEWS Flash: Unstacking is not a top-of-the-list item for Allegiant Pilots - Proven by the rejection of the Building Unity Slate.
Even during the election they were running interference for the BUS and kept using scare tactics. That's how you know they were in an echo chamber. Nate has been hitting a lot of nails on the head. People repeating NC propaganda as gospel is nonsense. Claiming that 50-70 percent which the company offered is going to destroy your QOL and they will then also furlough was beyond laughable. The use of proxies from VPS and PIE to try and squash dissenting opinions with libel and defamation was the cherry on the top. But the pilots have spoke loud and clear with this landslide victory. The pilot group rejected everything GU which had a griphold over this pilot group for almost two damn years. He, and his cronies as Nate says have cost many hundreds of thousands, all bc they wanted to bring Delta on day trips to Allegiant. Using words like "industry standard" as a talking point, to make pilots believe Delta /United or whatever was attainable as long as everyone would just shut up and "UNITE". Gross negligence to say the least. |
FWIW, we have unstacking at Delta in our PBS. It can only impact the bottom 30% of the list or the bottom 50% during a holiday bid period.

NC Changes?
My FO just showed me that his 737 class chat is saying a negotiating committee member resigned almost immediately after the election results were announced. If accurate, that timing is difficult to square with a good-faith obligation to represent the interests of the full pilot group.
This individual has helped shape decisions affecting the financial outcomes of roughly 1,400 pilots over the past 18 months. Walking away the moment the membership delivered a clear mandate reasonably suggests their perspective was not aligned with that responsibility. Many would view that conduct as unacceptable. The election result was unambiguous. The focus now should be on supporting the leadership chosen by the pilots and restoring stability. Hopefully the professionalism of this new MEC is as good as advertised, we haven't had adults in charge in years. |

So very sad for me to look back and reflect on my time at allegiant. I left 3.5 years ago, and was there for 3 years. Contract was right around the corner back then according to AR. Here we are 6 years later.
furloughed, terrible pay, terrible work rules, terrible scheduling. The only good thing was the incredible crew members I had the privilege of flying with. I will never forget the feeling when I finally pulled the rip chord and said ******* this place. Called in sick every day my last 2 weeks and it felt so good. felt like I left an abusive relationship, I felt free. And it was an abusive relationship essentially. It was one of the best decisions I ever made in my whole life. I really hope the best for you guys moving forward with these new union members. Hell it can’t get any worse right (famous last words right ) I still have friends who elected to stay who were in their 20s, as was I, and now they are still there and the hiring wave has passed them by. So sad. praying for yall. Good luck. Hoping something good happens sooner rather than later. |

Some would call commuting to JFK or being gone for days at a time sad too. What matters is the persons needs, nothing sad about that. Obviously if allegiant can get something good here shortly it wouldn’t be sad at all.
And some would call working for 50% wages, no vacation, no ability to bid for a schedule etc etc sad as well. I think it’s very sad and the people who have been there 5 10 15 20 years deserve a lot better. it is sad that some people have decided to stay and are still having to fight this anti union management and meanwhile the hiring wave has passed them by. |

Allegiant has been close to “getting something good here shortly” since 2019 by the way. They will alllllllways dangle that little carrot in front of your nose to keep you working.

I am so happy that your life is full of so much joy and you can share it during the Christmas season by telling other people how sad their life is compared to yours. Well done! |
I will say that the 50% pay part hits home (hopefully it’ll be 100% soon), but a truly happy person doesn’t go around telling others that their lives suck or that they made poor choices. It seems like the person who left is trying to flex—while pretending to care about those still here—based on a job any of us could have taken during the hiring wave but chose not to. Honestly, it’s sad.
