Guess we’ll see!

Where exactly are you getting your info other than pulling it out of your ___? To quote TH's Jan 22 email "While we had previously planned on hiring up to 250 pilots in 2025, we are re-evaluating that plan due to adjustments and expectations in our Boeing delivery schedule. When we have finalized hiring plans, I'll be sure to pass that information along". So I'm genuinely curious where you got 125?

I was told to expect to get an update in early February I guess after the earnings call? 125 isn’t a lot but considering that those 125 won’t even be getting any hours is it worth coming to Allegiant right now?

They won’t hire 125 unless they expect you to be “getting hours.” This last year was a complete anomaly with the delayed 737 deliveries. The days of sitting around not flying are quickly coming to an end.

I have no insider information, but when any airline says they are adjusting hiring to a plane that isn't coming (or at least in any real numbers) and is being used to replace old Airbus and aren't growth I read the number as ZERO. Not even as high as 125.

The lower the hiring numbers the more likely you would spend longer on reserve depending on base. If your looking at Allegiant as a place to build time to move on to better places, go to a Rejional. There are bases that NH could be looking at ten + years to get an oppertunity to see the left seat. I have talked to NH that where basically losing money after the cost to live in another city for several months waiting for the base they really wanted.

You’re not wrong but utilization should increase so it will feel like we’re growing. 2025 should *finally* be a rebound year and 2026 should be booming with growth

How would utilization increase when Allegiant pilots aren't allowed to work 3 days a week or Uncle Maury beats them with a rod? Recurrently classes have specifically been told that Allegiant can't make money on any flights Tues Wed or Saturday. Straight from managment. Ok, i'll chill with the sarcasim, but the point stands.

Looks like no new hire classes until “late summer at the earliest “ according to the latest bid.

Would seem that way since the projection of how many pilots are needed to fly in July which is the highest month through Aug. and that we seem to have more pilots currently on senority list that exceeds that. Unless more pilot leave than expected or flying changes seems like we might be good through AUG. With flying in the fall usually lighter than summer tell Mid Nov depending on flying increases for that seems like that would be the next need to hire for. My guess is those that bid to the 737 will not be back filled if the bidders come from the 320 in those bases. With the 9 320 CA spots open its possible they would need to back fill any FO that upgrade to either the 737 or AB which seems that would be done in April with the transition trainings and upgrades. So possibly a small NH class in April if they need, and after that it would likely be Sept.
