Default Question for Allegiant Air Guys/Gals

hey guys,

I see that they are acepting reumes.

Is there any grumblings around the campfire for interviewing/hiring soon?

What is the QOL life and what is a typical schedual both line and RSV?

Are they strict on the minimums? 3000 hrs and ATP?

I am approaching 3,000 hrs but dont have an ATP yet. I am considering going out and getting my ATP on my own since my current airline wont upgrade me for the better part of a decade.

Allegiant seems to be a quality operation, I am just trying to see if it could be a viable future option for me.

Thanks in Advance.

The current talk is no interviews tell around september.

As far as the MIN go you have to meet those you will not get an interview without at least having that. I know of a couple people that went out and paid to get ATP to get the call.

It also helps greatly if you have someone that will recommend you that works here now.

All our flying is out and back, you will be home each night in base. Lines vary month to month. Slow months has all pilots at 70 busy month you can see line averages above 90. Line holder very from 20 days off down to 12. Reserve gets 10 days off a month.

If you live in base quality of life can be very good.

Sounds like a great gig. Is there a lot of movement within? IE. upgrade time and time on RSV? How hars is it to hold IWA as a base?

The ATP is a must. They will not waiver on that.

As a former Eagle pilot, I can tell you that reserve here is NOTHING like reserve at Eagle. Reserves here really barely ever fly, especially in certain bases. If you live in base it is good if you enjoy a lot of time off at home or around home. There are even some reserve rules here that Eagle does not have, which make life a lot easier on reserve.

Upgrade time looks like it will increase, unless new aircraft are purchased. The junior CA here currently has about 2 yrs. seniority with the company. It was much less before, but as I said I think (personal opinion) it will increase quite a bit now.

Forget about getting IWA. It is very senior. LAX is junior, and LAS would be a possibility.

Is FLL junior or Senior?

FLL currently has one aircraft. They reduced it from two, they say the plan on building back up. So there was people pushed out. It is the smaller florida base and is much harder than SFB or PIE. I think SFB is junior florida base, it is the biggest base.

Is it possible to get a job without relocating? I do have a sister that lives in PIE who might let me crash at her house.

How many people commute that work for Alligent?

It is always possible to commute to work. A number of people do it here, including myself. But by commuting, you miss out on the best perk of working here, i.e. being home every night.
