Give me a break Margarita. What pilot group thinks they got a home run contract, huh? And don’t tell me AA, United, etc. whose contracts are nearly a century old and have gone through dozens of iterations. WN has a nice contract, ask SWAPA how long that took them? No pilot group is ever happy with their contract…ever.
And yes, you do get paid for picking up on ADD days after they convert to a day off. Just don’t answer your phone and drop or trade your raps. I have not say composite a lot, but when I did it was fine. And don’t paint me to be the villain, there several posters on here bragging up about picking up VFNs while we actually had pilots on furlough.
And yes we are technically in negotiations but to what end? From what I’m hearing it’s gonna take five years. Company wants to get a deal done quickly with a bag full of money and retirement and minimal work rules. Exco wants to hold out for legacy work rules and pay. I tend to think this is gonna take 5 years because we the parties have only reached TA on two sections: seniority and union business and it’s been 10 months. Management is gonna have to give in and give us some work rules or else the attrition everybody on here claims is happening will actually happen. We haven’t had serious attrition yet but we will for sure if we only TA two sections every 10 months…
