Is PIE a junior base? What are the chances of getting in right out of the gate?

All Florida bases are pretty junior. Should be able to get PIE right out of training.

You will only get Florida out of training. At the planned rate of hiring plan on moving if you don't live there.

In April my friend at Allegiant asked me to send over an updated resume and cover letter to them because the company was asking their pilots for recommendations. Do you think this latest application window and that prior request are part of the same hiring event?

They took all those resumes then but decided not to hire at that time. So this would be a new event. Not sure if your stuff would still be good or if it needs to be resent.

This is good advice. All west coast people, be very leery of applying. Don’t even entertain the idea of commuting. Schedules are built like you live ten minutes from the airport.

Even if you live in Florida. You will be tired enough, on the reserve slave ship. Crew services treats the Florida bases, as one little city. Example, Sanford based reserves: Get in a car, drive or be driven to Punta Gorda, do four legs. And oh, could you part 91 back to Sanford? Thanks.

Can someone post or PM to whom I should address a cover letter?

Thanks!

And by "be driven" he means by the guy you will be flying with. No limo service here.

Somehow, I still think it would be better than commuting to EWR to sit reserve for the whole month.
