Default Allegiant flight question

Question for Allegiant guys. My family is booked on flight 800 PIE-TOL tomorrow (1/5). Looks like a signifigant snow storm in the forecast (1/2 mile, 600 ovc). What is the likelihood of it canceling? Do you guys cancel much for weather going into these small airports? Family is just trying to decide whether or not to just start driving. Any insight into your ops would be appreciated. Thanks!

We generally don't cancel due to wx unless the vis is stuck at 1/4 mi or below and has no hope of going up. Also, runway conditions and deicing capability factor in, but TOL shouldn't have issues with those. I'd be more concerned about the flight canceling due to only half the crew showing up. Our new scheduling software is a nightmare.

Just hope Falcon Air is not operating that flight, then you have another can of worms to worry about.

PIE-TOL is showing on-time (not that-that means anything) and is being operated by an Allegiant crew. TOL isn't a small airport by Allegiant standards.

Why are so many PIE flights being subbed out to other airlines? I've seen falcon, Miami Air and Suncountry recently.

PIE is one of our junior bases and with pilot shortage is one of the Bases with the largest shortages

Why the pilot shortage at Allegiant? Trouble keeping up with attrition?

You might say that.

Absolutely nothing to do with it. It is a product of the recent building 2 "troubles".

Pilots quitting, training bubbles, Airbus training, sim shutdown, transition to new scheduling software, and it goes on and on and on and on....
