I don't work for Allegiant, but this decision should really be a no brainer. Do you really want to remain associated with the filthy swine? The Toonsters are still suing F9 trying to steal jobs even though they are in no way, shape or form connected anymore. Eventually, the Toonsters and republic pukes will be handed another humiliating and crushing defeat in the courtroom. Do you really want to be around for whatever temper tantrum will occur at that time? It's really best to get the hell out if you can or risk becoming another bitter lifer with no hope of a better future.

Where did you get a copy of this?

And will you share?

Pretty much the same situation at AAY however. Teamsters are pretty much worthless at either airline. AAY is more likely to strike due to their business model not really affecting national economy or the government. These decisions are NEVER no brainers.

Calling the Teamsters "worthless" at Allegiant is a bit premature. They have provided us with the tools we've needed, initiated and WON an injunction against this management team's travesties, and have charged us ZERO dues for doing so. I don't know what happened with Republic since I've been out of the regional game for almost a decade, but remember that the union is comprised of YOUR pilots. I highly doubt that any injustice that you endured was the sole doing of IBT national. IBT isn't perfect but it's light years ahead of what we had before, which was basically a bunch of volunteers that management chose to either acknowledge or ignore depending upon what mood they were in.

Perhaps "worthless" isn't the best term. IBT 357 has helped me out quite a bit. I am just frustrated at having a 2003 contract as the current CBA. It could still be worse. Based on what I read, AAY looks worse. I'm glad 1224 is working hard to make life at AAY better. But how can someone make a decision to jump from an unstable ship to one with a huge crack in it?

Also consider the QOL issue as well. Commuting with the schedules at Allegiant while having any semblance of a family life is nearly impossible. You will most likely be thrown into the new HOM base right after training which will entail living in a hotel in some random city with a maximum of 3 days off per week. There is also a rumor going around that since every city you stay in is your "base", ZERO per diem will be provided. The rest of the details about this new base are unknown because, as usual, they make it up as they go along. "Let's see what the pilots will endure before we change anything" is the mantra.

That is the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen this HOM base thing mentioned. Would anyone mind clarifying what that is? Is it a confirmed thing at this point, or still pending?

This does seem to be the mantra, take a good QOL with low pay and soon as they brought in the union, make the QOL as bad as possible to match the pay so that way there is lots of room to negotiate from. Just to put it back to pre-union would be considered a win.
