They need to be able to offer a lifestyle comparable to the other ULCC's. Which means commutable schedules. Being home overnight means nothing when the city you are based in is a dump.

As an outsider, I think the overnight and realistic schedules are paramount to their recruiting efforts.
They need to be able to offer a lifestyle comparable to the other ULCC's. Which means commutable schedules. Being home overnight means nothing when the city you are based in is a dump.

I think if there was money to be made basing airplanes up there, we would have already done so. I would venture a guess and say that with every other airline heavy in the NE, the resources are better allocated elsewhere.

My point was ultimately, if they want to keep getting solid candidates then they will have to make commutable lifestyles, if they insist on day trips.
