We now know this statement was 100 percent wrong (regarding 2021 flying) but it is irrelevant.
The EXCO emailed what he emailed about opentime. I am not going to bury my head in the sand and look the other way. The only logical explanation is that he is compromised and is now trying to do the company favors and could care less about the pilots on the street. He is trying to save himself.

Bottom line imo is all he really said was between pilots picking up trips and the company junior manning, the staffing was there. But that turned out to be incorrect with recalls now occurring. But I don't believe that confers any sentiment.
Agree to disagree with you Merry Christmas.

I agree the statement is wrong as evidenced by the recall of pilots, but I still don't read the statement like you are reading it. He is simply acknowledging that pilots are picking up open time. But he cannot come out and say don't do that as we would be sued regardless of how he personally feels. I think its a sad day when other pilots pick up time when others are on the street, but that's all it can ever be is a personal opinion.

I think we are actually agreeing it was better to say nothing at all.

I recall him saying the company threatened to fire him and all of the prominent union guys a while back because of his video where he openly called for an open time boycott and the facebook minions doing the same. We all know the facebook page is compromised, so management sees all that. Maybe the company is controlling him under duress? Stranger things have happened on other properties, and several of his decisions lately haven't been in line with his usual hard line approach, which I applauded then. The last few LOAs read like they were written by the company and handed to him to sign. The language in them is pure FH. I think too many pilots blindly follow, and punish those who question the union. Ironically, these same pilots are calling people sheep and saying they won't take a vaccine, so questioning authority isn't foreign to them. Questioning authority is an important check and balance, especially when large sums of money are involved, so maybe people should start asking more questions, and verifying the answers are correct, just like we do with national politicians. I'm not making an accusation, I'm just saying everything should be examined instead of applauding every message and taking their word for it. Checks and balances are a good thing!

The EXCO isn’t one person it’s three.
To suggest they aren’t acting in our best interests is indeed an accusation.
They have earned the benefit of the doubt and work harder than you might think. Ask the stewards who thought the same until they saw for themselves.
