I've seen Mexico City on many D sequences.

With AAs recent announcement they now consider Mexico and US the same thing.

"I" is a little misleading... It just means you can do extended overwater ops. There's tons of flights in the "D" divisions that go south, even to the Caribbean. Generally speaking, if the route will stay < 162nm from land, it can be flown by a "D" crew.

Come August, they are combined anyway so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Does anyone know the dates for new hire classes in August?

The designation will be going away soon. Everyone will be “I” trained in a few months.
Only in Miami, not system wide. There are no set plans to merge divisions outside of Miami.

International reserves can only be assigned to domestic trips if there are no available domestic trip. Vice versa for a domestic pilot whose international qual hasn’t expired. I went from MIA 737I to DFW 737D and twice was assigned international trips when they ran out of domestic reserves. After the second trip I called the CP office and asked them to pull my Int qual.

What type of instructor? And I thought Envoy was supposed to send either 29 pilots or half the class?
