Are most classes still mainly filled with flow? Are any seats filled with guys not flow?

5 out of 5 in one interview group yesterday were outside of flow. 1 regional LCA, 1 CA (son of retired AA CA), 2 former mil FW women (both current regional FOs), 1 former mil rotor guy (current regional CA). Didn't hear about the other groups that interviewed.

EVERYONE at an interview will be "outside of flow". That's the whole point of "flow".

Compared to previous years, many more regional pilots being hired outside the flow so far this year, but most all are from the AA WO. Quite a few friends from Piedmont, Envoy, and PSA pilots are in training or starting class soon at AA.

Exactly. Except "outside of flow" refers to those who are eligible to flow from the three WO regionals but were lucky/persistent/qualified enough to score an interview before their flow date. It's a small and proud club.

If you see a flow sitting in an interview group..please call me. I want to drive over with a bag of Cheetos and witness this first hand.

In other news...what’s going on with PHL? No new hires being sent over anymore? Are we the new DFW and CLT? I just threw up in my mouth.

Chances are they have military experience, if the trend it's still going. Very few pilots have been hired in recent past, outside flow with civilian only experience.

Nope. All civilian that I know of. It seems to be a new thing. About 10 so far this year, and another 8-10 that I know of coming early this spring. By far more from the AA WO than any other regional. It may not seem like much, but considering that in 2019 only 20 were hired outside the flow from the WO, and that number will be reached by April, it is quite significant.

All have very good resumes, and in the past they were all going to FedEx or Delta. Maybe AA decided that it was losing a lot of really good pilots to other major airlines and is going to take them outside the flow instead.
