I’m a 2014 hire, and have probably already made $300k less than a 2015 Delta hire. Apply TMV over a 25 year career, and that will never be made up, it’s massive.

I’m a very late 2014 Delta hire and am very curious what your total pay has been for 2015-2018. Just wages, no DC or per diem.

Mind sharing?

I’ll have to dig it up, and PM you. Only thing that makes it difficult to get Apples to Apples, is I worked 72 days a year in the AF during the last 5 years also.

No way an 11 year WB FO could make that. Don’t get me wrong that’s a doable paycheck but not at 11 years. You don’t have the seniority to get bought off for training nor the bidding horsepower to get ALL the premium pay trips.

It takes 20-25+ years at United for WB FOs to make that pay check.

And sadly it likely won't change. For some reason APA is enamored with the antiquated IMAX system. A few pilots get the chance to fly their as# off for 10 months in order to get two months off with pay. I would much rather be able to periodically get double or triple pay with green slips and trip drops for training. We have a lot of senior pilots who just have no clue how far they are behind Delta or United.

I just can't figure out why AA pilots in general don't seem to think we deserve DAL+. So many threads on C&R turn into 'we can't ask for too much during section 6' or 'we will never get that' etc. Have we been beaten down so long we just feel inferior? Is it a demographic issue and most don't care because they are about to retire?

That averages out to 150 hours of credit for 12 months straight. On the 767 (unproductive trips) under the American Airlines pilot contract. I'm going to call BS. Mayyyyyybe that would be possible on the 777/787 with a lot of seniority. Not to mention hardly anyone gets bought off trips anymore. Crew training can pre block as many trips as they like for IOE then dump them into open time if they don't use the sequence.

Had to check and make sure I wasn't in the Jetblue forum.

Yes and Delta mgmt saw that provision and wanted it for Delta's contract.... one of the top gives that got TA1 voted down. Was removed for TA2 which passed, but don't think mgmt won't try again. Completely abrogates senior FO's rights to bid trips by seniority if trips are pulled by training before PBS even runs.
