Wondering the same thing about the AA application and the education section. PME courses like SOS/ASBC or Safety School don't seem applicable because it specifically asks for GPA and degree obtained. How have guys been wording those areas for things that aren't strictly academic degrees?

There should be a section for professional education, if I remember correctly. Is there not?

Default Don’t make it more complicated

No need for all of those schools like you did in Airline Apps for Delta. KISS principle for AA. College you attended/graduated is all.

Is there any secret sauce formula to when AA will pull an app and score it, or anything that can be done to make it happen?

I don’t think any of us pilots really know the metrics. I updated my app every week or so. Kept tweaking it. I feel that’s the only control you may have in it. Others might know more tips...but yet again, non of us really know the true square checkers. I’m hopeful you get the call!

Interesting. Your advice is the opposite of what I got from two buddies who work at AA

His advise is sound. Just need to list the schools where you actually got a degree. Put everything else (PME/upgrades/WIC/AIS) in your resume...different process than United/Delta.

-Recent CJO + received the same advise from an app review service

Thanks. I think my buddies’ experience may just be outdated (they were both hired a couple years ago).

Off to update my app again!

Hello Guys I'm new to this forum, just have some questions. I am Gulfstream IV captain for a 135 operator. I'm 43 yrs old, never worked for an airline before, never had an accident or violation. Do you guys think it is the right move to apply for AA? or any other Major airline?

Thanks

Won’t know if you don’t apply...Make the decision after you have applied, been selected for an interview, interview and then offered the job!
