The Road to Charlotte

Folks,

Request if anyone has an idea how long to get Charlotte? My seniority is low...mid 14K. I’d take educated guesses, crystal ball looks, or even shots through the dark.

Thank you in advance.

Probably a year and a half, maybe more.... most jr Fo is 13,7xx.

Most senior base and sloooooooooooooooooooow movement if any.

These things ebb and flow. Take the long view, it will happen for you eventually. CLT has massive retirements coming up over the next 4 years.

through a vacancy it is taking a VERY long time for someone to get CLT. However don't forget about mutual base exchange. Some FO's are getting fed up with the lack of movement and seniority in CLT and moving on to other bases, creating openings for those who don't mind that about CLT. Seniority number 13,7xx got CLT on the March Mutual Base Exchange award...which is far lower than anyone has been awarded CLT on a vacancy recently.

Last R9 they were saying that 33% of the 320/CAs retire in 2019. That HAS to open up some FO positions after backfill.

Bid every FO position in CLT. Wait and see what happens, especially during the holidays.

The one problem with that is I think the lowest seniority number in CLT is high 13’s, so no one above that can do a MBE because they would be the most junior person.
