Default Doh!

Just watched an E-190 taxi the full length of the alley between ATL's T and A concourse with the F/O,s window completely covered with a sunshade. If I was a Fed, I might be meeting the crew at their gate. A word to the wise...you never know who's watching. 🤐

I have a feeling someone with a little more knowledge on 190 shades may be watching you.

You would fit in perfectly at the FAA. I’d tell you that I enhance situational awareness by blocking the glare of the sun while taxiing.

....and that would’ve been an embarrassing walk back after leaving the gate for that Fed.

Is there a certain regulation that sun shades must be stowed for ground ops?

Sun shades are translucent. Unless you mean they had sun blockers from Pep boys...
