When I was in MIA, I flew with several people who lived in Cape Coral, Fort Meyers and Naples.

I for one love it here. The Spanish thing is blown out of proportion. It’s like being Irish in Boston, it’s cultural not personal. Just fire back in English and 99.9% will switch over. Or fumble in Spanish and they will help teach you. I wish we had a domicile in Miami or AA would’ve given me a call.
As a South Florida resident, I've never understood why anyone under 55 would want to live up in the Stuart/PSL area and then voluntarily drive down to FLL/MIA.

Yes, at least with the current regime. Things can change from the top in DFW if someone new decides to play hardball, or a better term, parks his head in his rek-tum.

Fishing, golfing, surfing, laid back beaches, values off time away from insanity Delray south.

Way cheaper cost of living, can buy a lot more house for the dollar.

Also, park in Mangonia and catch the Tri-Rail.

Anyone done the DFW-MIA commute and can weigh in? Flowing from Envoy next winter and hoping to get MIA while I wait to get back to DFW. I’ve lived in South Florida before and even have relatives there. Just curious about commuting from DFW. I would have a car with me there.

Good luck. AA is already beginning to cut tons of flying...and it’s only the beginning. I’d be surprised if hiring lasts much longer.

Agreed. If we hire at all, it won’t be anywhere close to forecast numbers. I’d bet a flow who’s supposed to come over in the fall this year, won’t see AA until late spring or summer next year at the earliest. Our retirement numbers will probably keep a furlough from happening, but no way we’ll need to hire numbers like before. Then again, we could furlough anyways. Just depends on how bad this gets before we hit bottom.
