NO! You wont have time to use them, and if you do you will NOT want to go to and airport and get on an airplane to go some where on your days off. Pick a regional based on domicile. Pick the one that will offer you the easiest commute or none at all if possible.

Depends on your lifestyle and flexibility, and what you want to do with the travel bennies.
You can go anywhere domestic using JS privileges, as long as you're a 121 pilot, on pretty much any airline.
If you want to go international, with traveling companions, then some regionals with multiple major partners might make more sense. SKW CRJ pilots get both DAL and UAL, which can be nice.
But for most folks it won't really matter

Reasons for picking a regional in order (will vary slightly per person)
1. Domicile
2. Pay
3. Schedules
4. Upgrade
5. Career progression/flow
6. ...
1001. Flight benefits
I’m poking fun and flight benefits is part of the whole package but don’t pick a regional primarily based on flight benefits

AA WO regionals are definitely superior. There's enough to worry about in the non rev game without having to worry about if a mainline employee or mainline employee's family member will bump me. I've gone to some amazing places in the AA network.
Having said that, are travel benefits enough of a reason to pick one place over the other? No. As long as you're talking about one of the more reputable regionals (AA WOs, EDV, SKW, etc...) pick whichever one you can drive to or the one that offers the easiest commute. That should be your number 1 priority. Beyond that, look at pay, QOL, and career progression based on your priority for each of those aspects.

I picked PDT primarily due to the higher pay (6 years ago) and commutability given by the flight benefits with USAirways. This was a must for the 2-3 leg commute I was doing. I can't remember ever using the commuter clause. The flight benefits with AA are even better now with the non-seniority based system.
