That would get insanely expensive. It takes multiple techs quite a while to wrap one of those airplanes up.

That’s not exactly how scope works. There’s a time frame for when AA has to adjust regional flying. I believe its 3 months after the A/C is parked not to exceed15 months for all 3 WO. JCBA Sec 1-5

Actually here at Republic there have been several company communications that all our contracted aircraft will be flying for AA in July (United too for that matter; DL is another story). However we’ve also been told that the flying will be horribly inefficient as all AA birds will only be flying about 2 legs a day.

How many RJs did Republic parked for AA? Also.. why would ANY pilot complain about a 2 leg day, especially a regional pilot? Well, except the one leg day guys :-)

Yes it’s a 3 month look back, but the aircraft only needs to fly one revenue flight in a month to count for that month.

Where are you getting your information from? Three month look back.. huh? What are you talking about..

” Section b.(1) for three months from the date such aircraft go out of operation, or such longer period as necessary, not to exceed fifteen months....”

American likes to keep things silent...then surprise everyone...

United:
United cut its schedule in May by 90%. This month only 3,000 of 25,000 flight attendants are working. Once its CARES Act bailout runs out in September, massive job cuts are expected.

Yet over the last month the company’s stock is up 100%.

Just to clarify on the Republic comment, it may have been relayed by a Republic CA, but it comes straight from our July Market Planning documents. All of our AA birds are in service, albeit at drastically reduced utilization.

Personally, I'd take that as an official source, since it's also published with our timetables.

I see that 141 are coming out of storage, all 737 and airbus. Meanwhile the overwhelming 777 fleet is gathering dust. All of our birds are definitely not in service if you check further. Some cargo but not much else. July 777 flying NY one LHR trip twice weekly...not quite enough for two lines of flying for the whole base. About 100 captains in that status. I sincerely hope 98 of them don't take your comments to heart.
They are not true.
