Why did you, as an AA pilot, vote on the United TA poll?

I understand the gamble, but that’s something they’ll never know.

Voted for a relative that (wisely) doesn’t waste their time on APC. They were interested in the numbers though. They are on the chopping block and voted no, if that matters.

As my response to you over on the UNITED thread, that’s very lame. I have relatives over at AA and I wouldn’t skewer or cloud an informal poll over here regardless of them asking. Which they wouldn’t.

Well, I would consider you’re a feminine hygiene product as well. Which I can.

Yeah, the part that stood out to me was this:

How can you stand with a straight face and tell me that “it’s only temporary”. You’re lying to me or you’re lying to yourself. If it’s that bad, nothing will be temporary, and every inch you give today will be a mile fighting back for over the coming decades.”

So there’s two options: Demand returns and ALV increases because the company needs flights covered. Or, the recovery doesn’t materialize and we enter chapter 11.

Now tell me what happened to ALV the last time this company furloughed, and you’ll see why a reduced ALV is temporary no matter what situation we find ourselves in.

Man, you seem like a real piece of work. Everything you type out is an excuse for something.

I’m baffled. Those were facts not excuses. I can’t help it if you don’t like the message. Why are you knocking me rather than debating the facts?

This is a very interesting situation. There hasn’t been anything like this before. I’m basing my stance on the historical outcomes of concessions. Maybe this is the first time where concessions are actually the right decision. I don’t know, and neither do you. That’s really why I’m here. Not to be “a piece of work” but to get other pilots take on the situation.
