Well, it was the "Women In Aviation" convention. I always found it odd that men flock to this for meet and greets and interviews, but I get it. You have to get an edge to get noticed somehow. I'm not judging anybody, but it doesn't surprise me that a bunch of women were offered jobs at the event.

Has anyone attended TPNX in the past with a scheduled meet and greet and been selected for a interview right after like at WAI or NGPA? I've heard that has happened at those conferences but haven't heard of it happening at TPNX. I have a scheduled meet and greet at TPNX but the dress code for the event is business casual so I'm worried about under dressing for the meet and greet and the off chance they pull me for a interview at the conference.

From what I understand, and I could be wrong because I didn't interview at a conference, but I have heard it is pretty obvious you will be interviewing at the conference. They will require you to upload a bunch of documents to the hiring portal before you go to the conference that they require all interviews to upload before they interview.

AA Director of Hiring recorded a 2-part podcast (Ready 4 Pushback) right before TPNx last year and explained the suit vs no suit situation. I doubt it’s changed, bring a suit if you get an interview or want to be prepared, but not required for the Meet and Greet. He just recorded another R4P podcast, all 3 are worth a listen.
