Default AA expanding PHX, via Envoy

https://www.envoyair.com/2022/09/07/...ntenance-base/

To support increased Envoy regional flying out of American’s Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) hub, we’re pleased to announce a new Crew and Line Maintenance base at PHX.

Any ideas on how this affects AA’s PHX base/future? Positive impact, negative or no difference?

Makes sense given the pay disparity.

The question nobody's asking: Is this somehow The East's fault?

Default Mesa or Envoy for PHX Base Hopes

How big will this base be? Any idea if it will be Junior or Senior? I’m looking to be PHX based and trying to read if Mesa or Envoy would be a better bet 😅

Small base initially gradually growing. Senior. Envoy. Mesa crj fo get Phx during training presently. But it’s a super sr ca base. Upgrade will take forever to hold.

Hilarious how times change. When Compass asked about a PHX base they were told by Dallas that there’s not a chance in hell they’d ever open a 175 base there
