What AA thinks of employees
#21
If you truly are miserable here, and have a negative experience day to day, are super frustrated with your schedule etc, then consider it. If you’re thinking about leaving because you’ve been told it’s ****ty here, on line or by a crusty CA…no way.

I would absolutely go AA, but I’m biased. I think I fit in better at AA, I live in a SWA hub, but pulled my app when I got on here in 2014, just didn’t really want to work there. I’m pretty happy here overall (usual caveats, we need some improvements, I sit LCR, so my schedule doesn’t get ****ed with). Take my opinion through that filter.

I start training on Monday, definitely not miserable. Just reading the boards and getting a second opinion. Living in DFW it seems the obvious choice. I have no desire to fly for Southwest.

Friend of mine lives in DFW and left envoy early to go to United. Houston based and loves it. I asked him if he would consider applying to AA now that he no longer has the “wholly owned stench” he laughed and said absolutely not. He’s seen what AA is and what United is and would rather drive 3 hours than be a part of such a toxic environment. Take that for what it’s worth…

Your friend is an idiot. He has no idea what AA is like because he worked for Envoy. As a 737 CA in the most junior base, I've flown with tons of Envoy guys and they all tell me how night and day the environment is.

🤣 love the internet tough guy comments. Calling someone an idiot who you’ve never met? Priceless. Listen, I’m just giving an anecdotal example from the one guy I kept in touch with from envoy who has obviously since left. Take it how you like. As for when I’m leaving AA…in about 30 years 😉
