Possible.... yes. Realistic....no. You start as a reserve and having 13 days off in a row under normal circumstances is pretty much impossible.

no way

737 lines in nyc are crappy and uncommutable.

doubt you could get more than 5 days off in a row

expect to work all 4 weekends

I did that for 6 months when I was a 767 FO. It was tough. There was another FO who has been commuting to Brussels for many years. He was also on the 767 and 777.

Curious, where in Europe? That could also affect the decision.

If you need 13 days off in a row anytime soon even in a couple years, I’d hate to say but 121 pax is probably not going to work for you. Can it happen? With lots of seniority and time. And still probably wouldn’t be every month.

Maybe 5-6 years from now as a WB FO but not sure you’d need an answer from them.

If you need that 13 immediately, I’d suggest go to ACMI. That’s a typical schedule. Kalitta, Atlas, ATI, ABX, etc.

It is doable but you need seniority. It is tougher now that the company has pretty much locked down open time. I'd say you need to be 50% or under. There are a couple of pilots that commute from Europe and South America.

doable but again all depends how long he/she can wait. If it’s in 7-10 years for the move sure. But I still wouldn’t bet on doing it each and every month.

Your best chance would be to bid the last days off each month and then the first days off the following month.
13 in a row would be very tough if you're new.
8-10 in a row might be more realistic.

I spoke to a lot of AA guys and they all had different stories but youre 100% correct. it's hard with airlines, cargo is way better for commuters. Thank you
