Yep. Not even close. I'm sure there will still be the top 10% retiring in the next 2 years who want to vote yes, but for the most part this is a clear indication that we should have gotten more out of 4 years of bargaining...

I'm still not sure this is the hill to die on since single pilot pax ops is unlikely during the remainder of our careers (especially for those of us over 40) and lets face it if automation actually does progress to the level needed, the union will just be forced to negotiate that away anyhow. It's not like they've never given up anything in a contract before. But if this is your sword to fall on then I guess you've made up your mind how you're voting.

I'd rather take the money and moderate QOL improvements now rather than hold out for something that's probably moot.
DL’s contract also requires 3 pilots on flights over 8 hours (1 CA + 2 FO) and 4 pilots on flights over 12 hours (2 CA +2 FO).

Yeah I change my vote. After reading the UA TA we're suckers if we vote this in. But We're the lAArgest greAAtest AAirline.

Management and APA need to pull our agreement and go back in the room.

Or maybe voting in ALPA is a lock now.

Well you basically have an ALPA contract in front of you. It was just the copy/paste delta contract that millions were spent negotiating here with some tweaks unique to AA.

How in the world anyone at American would want APA to stick around at this point is quite beyond me. Best of luck.

So can APA retract the BOD vote at this point or does this go to the membership anyway? Can they halt the membership vote and go back to negotiations? We still have a lot of work to do to get our TA up to United's AIP. If our TA passes, we will still have a below "standard" contract compared to our peers.

Stay far away from ALPA. We don't want you.
Don’t fall off your high horse. The only reason Delta got what they did is because they have a buffoon at the top that put his foot right in his own mouth on national television. Congratulations!

Thats absurd. That gaffe moved the needle in the right direction, but we had already closed out the majority of the contract at that point. You’re just parroting the same nonsense that is oft repeated on here. The mediator didn’t like the fact that Ed said what he said on national TV. But that didn’t mean the mediator said, “you better give them a bunch of gains or else!”

We got the contract we did because our union representation aren’t a bunch of clowns like APA.

Saying get it done or I’m releasing them for self help would pretty much equate to the same thing

I fully believe that if AA management made that big of a mistake, we would be having a very different discussion about APA
