not true. Especially if your class date was pretty close to when the vacancy is run.

Quote: not true at all. However it is indeed the most junior base by a long shot.
"my bad"

at the end of indoc, and before sims, you will be in the top 50% in LGA

basically any base is "yours" after 6-9 months of Day-1 ground school. To include DFW

"hold a line" in a base is an entirely different conversation

How about hold a line in CLT or DCA? Either/both types? And which is more junior of those 2?

I’m pretty sure DCA is more junior… but I don’t have any idea on how long to hold a line

At least a year to hold a line in CLT. Now weekends off is a whole different story.

CLT junior LH for AUG is an SEP 2022 hire. 320/737.

DCA is FEB 2023.

not much difference between types. At most a month. CLT Airbus is a huge status. 737 smallish. DCA is small. Flying moves around and reserve % in all bases can fluctuate dramatically throughout the year

Right now it is all changing very quickly and no one knows what will be senior and junior come 6 months from now.

CLT is a rather "senior" base for FOs, but as more and more senior FOs take upgrades or move over to the wide body flying, it can all change quickly. CLT could have a huge influx of new hires as more senior pilots move up.

With the new pay rates that will unfortunately be voted in soon, you will have pilots that have only been at AA for 3-4 years taking the upgrade and making $400k per year. Others will likely move to the 777/787 because the new work rules with this contract will suck a lot and you can hide better in a wide body bid status. Others will be content to just stay FOs. So, in the end, the past is really no indication of what will happen in the next 6-12 months.

It is likely that upgrades might go a little more senior, and wide body FO will likely stay at 5ish years.

Don’t you think with bad work rules/QOL and high FO pay, CA will go junior, potentially unfilled, liked United?
