If only these questions had been answered in many other threads in the past few weeks... Haha

For those reading, there is really no way to tell right now. Way too many unknowns. AA is getting a lot more 787s in the next couple years, so that will change things.

But the biggest variable will be what happens with this next vacancy award, and the one after that. NB CA pay is really high with the new rates, and work rules are getting worse for pilots on reserve. So no one knows how these next couple of awards over the next 5-6 months will shake out.

Will a lot of FO's choose to upgrade to 320/737 Captain to get the extra money? Some will.
Will a lot of senior FOs choose not to upgrade because they are making more and ride out their seniority? Some will
Will a lot of 737/320 FOs look to the 777/787 to make some more money and still have a great quality of life? Some will
Will a lot of 777/787 FO's jump to NB CA because they will make $100k more per year as a captain? Some will
Will a lot of senior pilots choose to go out early on LTD with the higher pay and the new gap sick time? Some will

No one knows how many will do these things.

Currently, WB FO has been decreasing quite a bit. It decreased steadily from 8 years to under 4, and then went back up to 5 years again. So no one knows right now what will happen and how many will choose to move from their current seat.
