Where did you hear that? I had understood classes were usually paused a little later in June/July so just curious what the word is.

That jives with what my candidate was told on the interview on 4/1…no classes in May/June.

That's earlier than recent years. Classes up to Memorial Day weekend then pause, pick back up late July, early Aug.

Can anyone share some insight on PHX AB vs PHX 737? Seniority progression, trip design/variety, etc.

Although I haven’t looked at their trips. But 737 is junior junior and moves quick. Smaller status. Someone hired in 2023 would be around 8% and airbus side you’d be 65% ish I believe. Hope that helps

PHX Airbus is a larger bid status (2x the size) which can help with trading, but PHX 737 seems to still be growing a bit.
Both bid statuses have their share of leading red eyes.
The pride and joy of the Airbus side is Hawaii trips. 737 will likely never get those.
737 is more junior and does have the faster movement currently, but I believe the Captain side on the Airbus is older with more retirements coming up.
Either choice you make, it should be a good base for you.

exact opposite of PHX. ORD 737 is bigger status also more senior. ORD 320 is smaller but more junior, but it’s a status that’s growing. ORD320 looks like a variety of flying and commutable trips, some trips only commutable on one side. 737 about the same. Airbus in general is a better airplane to come to work to if all thing equal.

Minus the part where you are getting the snot kicked out of you when you can’t climb above 330.

signed by a salty 737 driver

Airbus has the lions share of fume events, which are much more apt to cause significant long term harm, and have more microdosing going on with the APU bleed. Long term it's terrible with higher rates of neurodegenerative disease such as ALS.

i highly doubt unless your standing behind the engine huffing it. That 737 doesn’t seal worth a junk lol

You mean like how Delta replaced 300 A320 APUs (but not 737s):

Delta is replacing engines on Airbus aircraft to address toxic fumes issue

This has nothing to do with the exhaust getting into the cabin.

If you’re not aware of the frequency of fumes events in the A320 series and their potential effects…you should do some research, especially since you fly it. Arm yourself with some knowledge so you know what to do if it happens.
