If it increases our profits then so be it. This thing could really undercut DLs broke ass 757s if we execute properly. OTOH If AA announces they are parking the 777-200s with no intent to replace them, then I'd be worried/****ed.

I was also impressed how quickly we jumped back into VZ. I get it, one flight a day on an RJ, but it shows initiative. Hopefully it grows, and we can see Victoria, Brasilia, Recife, and Manaus on the XLR or NEO.

That said I agree with the sentiment on this board that Isom is probably no longer the proper
captain to be steering the ship. We need some new leadership in whichever Skyview they work out of.

Buddy over there said maintenance issues have been plaguing those things for awhile.

Why would delta parking their ERs worry you? My friends at delta say they are old and fly around with a ton of MELs.

EDIT: I was referring to our 777-200s. Like if AA said they are going to park the 200s with no replacement.

The idea of parking the -200s with no replacement is a doomer obsession around here. The loss of the revenue, both cargo and passenger, would put us in the grave.
No matter how many XLRs we buy.

That is something that comes from PLM and JC constant response to the, " why no wide body orders" question he always keeps getting supposedly.

" Not enough data and if the international market tanks, we can just park the 200's".

My pessimistic side isn't the parking of the 200's without replacement, it is what replaces them because it spells out this managements long haul vision. If the 787-10 replaces the 200's, that spells doom for the 300's being a small fleet and we know AA hates small fleets. If AA goes 350 or 777X, I can feel decent/better about the WB side of the house.

Great news! Now maybe APA can raise the bar in the next contract cycle instead of being a perennial anchor.
