Saw this today, a reason I just joined, as a pilot here. I like the idea, especially the grass-routes effort. Saw it in the Dallas Aviation Blog. I've heard he might want to come back if asked.
What are your opinions? I guess this just started a couple of days ago, funded independently.

Although Bob was a brilliant manager in his time, I believe his management style and tactics are of a by-gone era. This industry has morphed into something that even Bob would have trouble fixing. When Bob left, oil was trading at $33/b. LCCs were a mere blip on the radar, and the exploits of Eastern/Pan Am asset acquisitions were just starting to peak. I don't believe that Bob would be relevant in today's environment, Just my .02c.

Now that US is making the run at AA BringBackBob might be the only way to get labor onboard with an AMR plan instead of US. That being said, I am sure Bob would have to hack and slash just as bad as Horton has already stated.
