Combined AA/US hub network.
Between US/AA there are quite a few hubs through out the network, can anyone see any of them being dehubbed? Ive heard a lot of talk about maybe PHX, what are everyones thoughts?
Also, With JFK and PHL being so close, does AA have enough slots in JFK to even think about replacing it? I would think PHL would be ideal with not having the competition quite like JFK. |
MIA and DFW will be sold to Delta.

AA doesnt have a lot of room in JFK to expand in terms of slots. JFK could stay the same as it is today, focusing on O&D international traffic and domestic service to major cities (MIA/LAX). PHL would serve as a good spot to connect smaller northeast cities with the AA network. Think routings like MHT-PHL-DFW, ALB-PHL-MIA. PHL will never replace JFK as an international gateway. |

I doubt that, those are the only reason aa is worth anything.

But that reality ruins the dreams if those who hope to benefit from it at others expense, so don't be a party pooper. ;)

PHL International Expansion? The airport would like to displace the UPS facility to a new section on the airport and add a parallel runway. The airport is attempting to use "imminent domain" to confiscate the neighborhood near by. The residents do not want to sell to the airport. The airport will most likely prevail and expand. The additional revenue for the city will not be ignored.
