The 737 also overnights in CUR and Grenada. I always enjoyed the carib flying. POS has the longest customs/immigration form i've ever seen.

At AA, the MIA guys get all the good Caribbean layovers. I bid 737I FO during our MOAB, but out of DFW, the nice layovers were few and far between.
Our CCS hotel was OK, but step outside the barbed wire, and you're asking for a knife in the guts. Barbados was very nice, but it's hard to get excited when you're there only 11 hours! Every so often we'd get a good one, like St. Maarten for 16 hours, but it'd inevitably disappear after just a couple months. It was almost like a person in planning did nothing but look at trips and delete those with nice layovers. |
Concur, the SXM layover is really the best beach resort I've been at on an airline layover. We currently have a 3-day that lays over there for 18hrs (and I was able to snag one this month!)
BGI also a great one... STT... AUA... and CUN are all great ones (CUN is all 737 now, at least for layovers.) |
Shhhhhhhh! Lets keep that amongst ourselves. Think ill be 737I in MIA for a loooong time. Glad I have something to look forward to. Any scoop on crash pads?

PM me if you want a phone contact for the Villas. |
How is AA's long NYC layover?
Airways has a great place filled with filthy rooms, crippling depression, 1920s plumbing, and all the hookers you could want. It is truly a great location (midtown Manhattan), but even that doesn't make up for the shortcomings of the actual property. |

West pilots stay out in Long Beach on the Island at the Allegria. Right on the beach. For a while we were midtown at probably the nicest place I've stayed in Manhattan, the Hotel Times Square.

The rat hole mentioned above is for LGA overnights. We have different hotels for JFK RONs. Or, we did.

Too bad. There is a real nice Fairfield Inn about a mile from LGA, in Astoria. I spent a few days there last month since my younger son and his wife and daughter live right by there. A very nice place and close to the airport and subway for going into the City.
