Well since no one has answered this question, and I'm going to the WIA convention tomorrow I'll try to find the answer for others...

Anyone know the breakdown of the class that started today? Eagle vs. off the street.

I still think there has to be a way to break out somehow, whether it's thru an internal connection or a job fair. Take a look at WAI for example. AA is participating in the fast pass thing, that's 15 minutes of face time with them. I would think that's going to work wonders if those 15 minutes go well. If it doesn't go well, well maybe a TBNT email will follow haha.

As others have said, "they" say HR is running the show "for the most part", computer has to pick you, and all that, but I don't believe it's anything like they system at US where it really does seem to be a resume lottery. I have no inside knowledge, by any stretch, but I'll tell you that I only know 1 AA FO, and he did submit a LOR for me back in OCT pretty much right after I submitted my app after the window opened, so I pretty much considered it a long, long shot to get a call for an interview. It could be total coincidence, but I got the invite for a video interview just a couple weeks after going to the Miami job fair in JAN. I don't know if who you talk to at the fair makes a difference (I'm sure it doesn't officially), but I happened to get the chance to talk with the Miami Managing Director of Flight and I felt like I made a good impression. I am former military (retired) with "normal" military flight time (including mil instructor) and a little civilian flt time, but nothing extravagant on the resume. Not trying to downplay my experience. I think I have a "solid" resume, but it's not the "Astronaut" or "Test Pilot" resume that would separate me from the 1000s of other "solid" resumes in the system. So, I am well over "the mins", but no different (and probably less) than the kind of flight time/experience many on this forum have who are still waiting for the invite. So, you tell me, does it or can it make a difference or be worth the cost of going to a fair or conference? Was to me, and I'm pretty sure that's what did it for me!

Oh, and the recruiters at AA spent a surprisingly long amount of time talking to everyone there, and stayed until everyone got their chance to talk with them late into the night, to their credit. Don't know that it was 15min, but if it wasn't, it wasn't too much less than that.

I thought they had been doing 25/class 5 flow and 20 street, but I heard this one is 20 with 13 flows and 7 street.

I think all the street interviews have been 20 each time. It's going to slow up street interviews quite a bit if this is any indication of the new norm. Did I read that AE is suing for more flows per class? Truthfully, though, I'm not sure there's a "norm" yet. There's seems to be quite a bit a variation from week to week even in the timeline between getting the video invite and going to a F2F and getting the call for the conditional job offer.

Eagle flows should be 50% of the class but can be withheld to 20 per month which is what has been happening. The union has filed a grievance, saying the withholding is not necessary.

Monthly total is running approx. 20 flow/30 street. But the classes havn't been 10/15. More like 5/7-17/18 flow and 18/20- 7-8 street.

Does anybody know when the next class is and who the last interview group was that was placed in class. I am Feb 12/13 and no one in our group has heard a peep.
