Is that the apa commuter clause? I was told you don't gate paid for using the commuter clause. Why even have one then, might as well just call in sick?

The 3,000 missed assignments weren't all missed trips. Many were improper assignments of RAPs.

As far as commuter Q at AA you don't get a missed trip they cover your trip. You do not get paid. Are you somewhere that you get paid for a trip when unable to commute in?

No, I'm just wondering why they have a commuter clause if it doesn't protect pay.

I don't think I've ever heard of a commuter clause that protects pay. The intention is to protect from discipline. Just because you are going to miss sign in doesn't mean you can't work your 4-day or what have you.

There is not a single airline I know of that has pay protection when using a commuter policy. If there is, hire their union lawyers to negotiate our contracts and grievances.
