AA/US jumpseat

I think we should just give them their priority here, for the record. But a lot of the arguments made here are flawed.

Okay if that's the logic you want to use, then you'll see no problem with this: RAH gets priority over OAL on a percentage of our planes (about 55%), as we only get priority over OAL on their eagle branded flights. Then we're all really equal.

you mean like all AAs INTL flights? I rarely left the country as an RJ pilot, a lot of ML pilots do quite a bit of INTL flights with no JS to offer. with RAH closing MIA I’m assuming almost all their legs will be domestic. AA does quite a bit of INTL flights. Just a counter though to “you can jump seat on ALL AAs flights”

just something I remember from RJ days, I rarely left the states, but had quite a few pilots in my JS who only flew INTL, I never thought about it at the time but they never cared about not letting me have priority over OAL pilots.

The number of JS on international flights is restricted to the number of actual seats fitted in the cockpit. The listing code is D6LJ on them. And have to sit in the back. AAG employees can sit on the flight deck even on intl flights.
So for example, if it's an Airbus, you can have 2 D6LJs in the back.

2011. I was a new puke @ Airways. Tried to jumpseat in the back on XJT from IAH to somewhere in Mexico. Captain came back and told me I couldn't go. He had checked the situation with the FOM and had called a chief about it. He was apologetic and professional. I didn't go.
I went to UAL/Continental (I think they were still separate at that time) and the gate agent told me to chill. "You're here at a real airline".
