Anyone get this email today? My question is, I currently have an AA app on file, anyone know how to do what they are requesting? Or was this just sent to US Air applicants not knowing if they had an AA app in or not? Also, anyone's org fit assessment show a red X now instead of a check mark? Thanks in advance for the help
Dear Applicant,
We are so excited you are interested in joining the new American Airlines!
Weve made great progress toward integrating US Airways and American Airlines, but for now, each legacy airline will maintain individual flight operations. Even so, we will be combining our recruiting efforts. That means, by applying to the pilot (First Officer) position, you may be selected to fly aircraft for either American Airlines or US Airways, although the hiring process and criteria is the same for each airline. If selected, the hiring assignment will be made by the needs of the operation and the Pilot Recruitment team, and is non-negotiable. However, once we complete our integration (including a combined labor agreement), and achieve a Single Operating Certificate from the FAA, all pilots will be flying for American Airlines.
If you would like to remain under consideration for the pilot (First Officer) position with either company, you will need to submit a new application by clicking on the link below. Additionally, if you would like to withdraw your application at any time, you can do so by visiting https://aa.pilotcredentials.com.
Thank You

I was recently pick up by AA and I got this email today regarding my US Air App. I think the email is an effort to get all the hiring under one roof. I hear the company that handles US Air apps will now handle the AA apps. This all tells me that US Air process is going away and you will soon be in Dallas for an interview and it will be us to the needs of the Company whether you fly US Air metal or AA metal.
The red check next to the fit assessment has been hit and miss. I didn't retake my assessment (which was red for about 10 days) before I got an interview invite. I have heard others that said they did retake. I don't know if there is a correct answer for which path to take.
