In my humble opinion we should be compensated extra for flying the back side of the clock...not less.
I believe united has some language like that. Anyone?

Its easy, no arguing required, at least at LCC west, were they pay 77 hours at the end of the month.

The regional I came from had this..........since 2002!!!! Wow, who negotiated/negotiates these contracts for the pilots.

Company Labor Relations Lawyer/Negotiator: "So you are at work, not home, you are not on a day off, but your not going to get paid Ok. We are going to be gracious enough to give per diem and, wait for it cause it's a biggy........let you have a hotel."

Pilot Negotiator (Untrained in negotiations other than a weekend crash course being facilitated by other untrained inexperienced pilot negotiatior)......"Sounds good."

Pilots have absolutley no business negotiating labor contracts. Regardless if its ALPO or an in house union. We need to let the attorneys and professional negotiators do the talking.

In the BK era pay on these type of 3 days went to 10.5 hours at DAL because we went to a duty period minimum and they have 2 duty periods.

In contract 2012 they mostly went to 13.5 hours because we improved to a 4.5 average daily guarantee (ADG).

Starting in November these trips will pay 15:45 at DAL because we improved it again to a 5:15 ADG.

^^^^^^^^ APA/ USAPA, this is what we need.

JCBA negotiations are going on, I hope they are fighting to get us on par with our peers

Shhh...don't tell the pilot negotiators that, you will hurt their ego. When I brought this up at a meeting, having pilots negotiate and not professional agents, I was advise we do have LAWYERS on staff. With a retainer in the $200,000 range. When you look up who the company uses, they usually have LAW FIRMS on retainer in the MILLIONS. So junior associates and PILOTS representing the union are probably not going to fair well against a TEAM including partners, associates, financial expects, expect analysts, expert negotiators, legal assistants, investigators, field researchers, hell even interns....the list goes on and on. Its like Poland (the pilots) on horseback with swords, fighting the Nazi invasion (the company and it's lawyer and financial resources) and their tanks, heavy guns, airplanes and so on. It's a winless battle.

The same trip already pays 15:45 for PHX-based pilots. (5:15x3) This should be a given.. no concessions. If some Airways pilots are getting it, than all should. Of course, I'm just a simple pilot, not a negotiator.
