Cliff notes? For a newhire it's the same as runway behind you, altitude above you or fuel in the truck. It just doesn't matter.
It's a fight about seniority that won't impact you but you might have to listen to various versions of 'what should have been done' for decades. |

There are a lot PHX-CLT commuters waiting for this thing to end. However, I just met 2 new hirers who are commuting CLT-PHX. Again, because of ****ing match between a bunch of chest thumpers, they can't even bid to a city their own company has a domicile. It's time to end this S h I t once and for all |

Actually that's not correct. It does impact plenty of new hirers at LUS. Just ask all the pilots commuting from west coast cities to the East.....and now east coast cities to PHX. So to say it does impact new hirers is false. I knew what I was getting and moved across the country. Some people do not have that options and endure LONG commutes they might not have to while a bunch old men fight.

The Nicolau award was accepted in writing by Doug Parker it was suppose to be a final and binding arbitration. The east pilots threw out Alpa to prevent its implementation.

Yes, I believe you are correct...I almost fell over laughing at that one myself... "Lets just let the arbitrators do their job and we can all move on"...an instant classic, too funny.

Why? That's all that had to happen. The Nic came out and just as EVERYONE else in every other merger this decade has done, they should have accepted it and moved on. But now the Easties don't have numbers on their side. Now they're scared of AA doing to them what they did to the Westies. Karma right. Only American can pull that kind of **** but I hope they just accept it and move the hell on. Time will tell. Unfortunately I don't expect much since pilots are among the biggest babies I've ever met. Bunch of entitled pre-madonna's who talk a big game about unity but will eat each other young over seniority.
