I give you credit. At least you realized the MOU sealed this thing.

There's the truth of it. PYRRHIC!!

You were able to manipulate your schedule without having to go through scheduling, in addition lines were typically better, bidding was simpler etc.....

PBS at two other airlines.... other airlines is the operative phrase.

Did your two other airlines pay a min calendar day pay? Was Parker the boss at the two other airlines?

Hate what you don't understand, defend the indefensible.

Gentlemen I give you, THE EAST!

That's to avoid future law suits. It was a given you would get a seat.

Even I believe you guys deserve a seat.

One thing you fail to mention in your East hating diatribe... this pilot group EAST/ WEST have never said NO to any concession plan delivered by the company. the East did say no once to a concession plan, (Kirby) but that was probably because of the NIC more than the greatly reduced QOL contained within it.
So don't fret, there are plenty of myopic pilots on the East as well that cant see past a shiny object just like yourself.
Enjoy your new work rules, my only consolation will be the thought of how much you and yours deserve what is coming.

I will leave it to you to explain to the other airlines when they can't make any contractual gains because of what American just did.

"Gee guys we had no choice ,the company was making record profits and we were working under a bankruptcy contract what could we do, we had to take it in the shorts".

Did an east pilot really just write this??? LOA93 sound familiar? And you did that to yourselves by failing to be proactive when you had the chance.

How can a group of people be so uniformly stupid? No, seriously, I need an insider's perspective.

You have all the perspective you need.

Better hurry along, I think Doug needs his shoes polished.

Exactly... I've tried to explain why pbs works better at United and delta, it's because of work rules. Min calendar day and more days off are huge protections from pbs running rampant on you, especially the bottom 50 percent of line holders. You don't need more days off though, you just need min day, it will cause you to reach your ALV in about 15 days and pbs can't continue to load up your schedule to the max 20 days. With those extra days you pick up premium pay and you'll exceed delta pay even at current mta rates. If you vote this jcba in you'll have less time off and less opportunity to pick up premium flying, amounting to a wash in pay and more days away from your family.

Very good analysis. I'm at Delta and that's all pretty accurate. PBS works well with a min day of 5:15. Most you'll be scheduled for with PBS is 15 days most months with a min duty day of 5:15. Summer a little more.
