Very good analysis. I'm at Delta and that's all pretty accurate. PBS works well with a min day of 5:15. Most you'll be scheduled for with PBS is 15 days most months with a min duty day of 5:15. Summer a little more.

Calendar days been in effect for how many years?

What's the impact on commuter trips?

Average decrease in number of days worked?

Average increase in hours of pay per day worked?

I don't know the first answer.

There will still be the same mix of commutable and non-commutable trips.

With 5:15 minimum duty day you work up to 5 less days compared to what you have now depending on equipment, domestic or international and other variables.

About 1 hour pay per day more for domestic trips. Trips will become more efficient. The irony is an airline with a higher average duty day or duty period is more efficient and helps the company. (Allows more open days to fly more if you want to and some greedy pilots will.) And still they fight it.

It increases days off and scheduling flexibility.
