Route66,
You're a douche for publishing this in an open forum.
I know, I know, it's the instagram/snapchat generation, but clowns like you should know when to keep certain things in house to beat the crap out of each other in a private setting.
FYI, both fingers are in the air saluting those dinner attendees on my dime.
Let me know if you need some topical ointments or extra strength Midol for your inflammation. I can look on the internet if you need help.

Really?
Oh, get this: I had CQT last month, the contract says PLAINLY I get 4:13 each day yet they paid only 4:03 because they "haven't got to that part of the contract implementation yet". Called the contract hotline and they told me that it's happening everywhere in the contract. Get calls all the time.
Only the APA can negotiate a contract where there is no contract.
I lost $112 because of poor APA contract administration. This is the NORM at the APA, not the exception. Talk about quality control.
Maybe the money is better spent on sending the reps to the bar each week. We will get better results...stay the hell out of the way!

You didn't like ALPA, now APA. What's your answer? USAPA? I personally don't have a problem with the reps having a nice dinner and drinks occasionally. If this was a once per year event. I don't , nor you probably know all the details. Was this at the end of a several day meeting where they basically ate Jason's deli for lunch each day, and chili's at night? Maybe I'm out of touch, but I don't think it's a problem if it happened once. If this was an every MEC meeting occurrence then that would be excessive. BTW, I am not nor ever have been on a MEC.

I'm a "douche" yet here you are openly giving the reps the "fingers". How typical of pilot "double talk". Why don't you want it out in the open? Are you ashamed? Are you afraid your fellow pilots won't respect you? The rest of the employees will somehow think less of you (not that they respect you anyway)?
Really?

We all pay dues (so that WE aren't the scabs) while the jack wagons feast like drunken gluttons on our dime and don't deliver $h!t, except for more fodder for unending accounts of their follies.
The union was a hollow tree the day I got hired and it will be a hollow tree the day I leave.

Party ON Wayne and Garth!
You're right. I didn't like ALPA and I don't like the APA. They stabbed us in the back with the MOU, they took the side of the Company, they only think about themselves and how much money they can't drag out your pocket. They have no power to force a contract that the company can implement at THEIR discretion. They even have a union at their offices! A labor union with a union working for them.
The money spent on the APA is wasted and IT IS NOW ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.
I'm looking forward to the rank and file getting five years of "contract flexibility" given to the Comapny without ANY penalty or recourse.
Enjoy the ride.

dirty laundry like this ends up on the internet because pilots have lost all faith that the "leaders" of the union will do anything at all about their own corruptions. And most have lost faith that a majority of the pilot mob will give a rats ass. The next "leaders" will be equally bereft of morals, ethics, and decency.

Captain Irony strikes again! So they treated themselves to a nice dinner. I wonder if the hours they worked without being paid divided by the cost of that dinner would equal the minimum wage law? Why would you be *****ing about $112.00 when you paid a billion to work as a regional pilot? You paint the entire APA corrupt based on this?

I have never posted anything negative about the APA and while I am grateful for their time and encourage them to celebrate, this was not merely a "nice dinner" that they were entitled to take. Furthermore, they should have known that the appearance of improprieties would do damage to union solidarity and have a much more lasting effect than the fancy wine (that lasted only a short time). Clearly, their lack of good judgment is much more frightening than the dinner bill.
