logbook forgery
#11
It happened february 21. signature was G.Nicolau III. The arbitraitor that ruled in america west vs. us airways pilots is George Nicolau III. Captain of the flight is phoenix based. There is no G. Nicolau III on ANY list at New American. So the phoenix pilots keep creating an air of hostility which by the way is against company policy. Those AOL ( army of leonidas ) ties that they wear , creating hostility was bad enough , but now forging a logbook? Thats beyond belief.
"Variations between the signature and the name appearing in the body of the instrument do not automatically invalidate the instrument. In the absence of a statutory prohibition, an individual can use any character, symbol, figure, or designation he wishes to adopt as a signature, and if he uses it as a substitute for his name, he is bound by it. An individual can also use a fictitious name or the name of a business firm. A signature might also be adequate to validate an instrument even if it is virtually illegible. The entire name does not have to be written, and the inclusion of a middle name is not significant."

All they have is a $5 tie they paid $675 to keep in good graces with their buds. If they feel they are winning by signing a logbook, it's obvious they are howling at the wind.
I'm glad I'll never be a chief pilot. Babysitters have it easier.
