Looking ahead
Just for s&g, if this thing is settled over the winter (and imo that's a BIG if) and the "list" looks even somewhat like the West's proposal, what percentage of the West guys do you all see leaving the Reservation in Phoenix? And to what points E/W/S and North?

My guess, the final list has the nicolau order of E & W integrated into the AAPSIC proposal, or nearly what the AAPSIC proposed. I fear the third list pilots are getting screwed the by the east greed to squash Nicolau- nothing else matters to the USAPians but killing Nic. That is all the USAPians are focused on while the real battle is not even on their radar.

I'm guessing a lot more folks leave to exercise their rightful seniority than would have left initially if the East hadn't pulled years of illegal BS. I think you'll see an exodus in Phx largely fueled by revenge.

I'm not sure "revenge" is the correct word. I think the better choice is "opportunity". If you are a 17 year FO who has dealt with the frustration of zero movement for the last 8 years, you take what ever opportunities come your way. Also, there are certainly guys both East and West who are commuting cross country who would love to be based close(r) to home. At 11.5 years, I understand I'm nowhere near upgrade on a stove-piped list and honestly, I really like the 35 minute drive to work in PHX.

Hate
Of everyone I've run into since I got hired at US Airways last year, the only people to treat me like crap were West crews. I'm sure it's only a small percentage, but from the vitriol I've seen, there are going to be fist fights in the cockpits once west mixes with east. I hope everyone remains professional...

I really hope this is not the case but I have my concerns that sooner or later (probably sooner) things within the cockpit will degrade to a point that it creates a less than safe atmosphere if not into actual fisticuffs.

Don't get sucked into their hate fest. Refuse to fly due to a hostile work environment. There'll be some incidents initially, maybe some pilots getting fired before the angry crowd sobers up.
my 2 cents.
